Reduce The Appearance of Wrinkles &

Restore Volume Loss

  • For optimal results and to reduce the chance of bleeding or bruising at the injection site, please avoid all blood thinning medications and supplements for one week prior to your appointment.

This includes OTC medication such as aspirin, ibuprofen and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Also, avoid supplements such as garlic, Vit E, Omega 3 capsules. If you have a cardiovascular history, please check with your doctor prior to stopping use of aspirin or other medications.

Inform your provider if you are taking coumadin, plavix or any other blood thinner for a medical condition.

  • Immediately following reducing the appearance of wrinkle treatments , the most commonly reported side effects are temporary redness and swelling at the injection site. Cold packs may be used immediately after treatment to reduce swelling.

Avoid direct heat to treated area for 24 hours.

Avoid the sauna or steam room for 24 hours.

If you have swelling, you may apply a cool compress for 15 minutes each hour.

Avoid laying down for 4 hours immediately after treatment.

Do not touch or rub the treated area for 4 hours post treatment.

Avoid activities that cause facial flushing on the day of treatment, including consuming alcohol or taking a hot bath for 24 hours.

Do NOT massage injection sites. You may exercise facial muscles (squinting) for 4-8 hours following your procedure. NOTE muscle contraction is not necessary for reducing the appearance of wrinkle treatment to take effect.

You may use arnica gel or sublingual tablets to help the bruising and swelling.

  • Mild headache.

    Bruising at injection site.

A sensation of numbness or tingling at injection site.

Feeling of pressure or fullness at injection site.

Droopy eyelids (ptosis), if this does occur please call me as soon as possible.

All of the above side effects are temporary and will resolve as reducing the appearance of wrinkle treatment is metabolised. However, please call me if you experience any.

  • Muscles injected with reducing the appearance of wrinkle treatment will show resistance to movement within 3-7 days, but results can take up to 14 days for full effect.

If the desired effect has not occurred by day 14 and you have been treated with the recommended number of units, a touch up treatment or additional units may be needed.

Please call to schedule an appointment.

Reducing the appearance of wrinkle treatment last on average 3-4 months. It is recommended at the time of your treatment to schedule your next appointment for optimal anti-ageing benefits.

  • Covid vaccination 2 weeks prior / post treatment. Antibiotic, Flu Injection, Dental Treatment and or BDD issues or concerns.

    Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Neuromuscular condition such as myasthenia gravis.

  • BioReModellar treatments are generally suitable for most patients and skin types. Particularly effective for: Dry, dull, dehydrated skin

    • Early signs of ageing

    • Fine lines and wrinkles

    • Imperfections such as acne scars

    • Those wishing to improve the overall skin hydration and luminosity

    • Face: Chin, Perioral area, Periocular area, Frontal area, Lips, Acne scars

    • Neck, decolletage & back of hands

For optimal results, Avoid alcohol, NSAIDs, supplements that can thin the blood (i.e. Vitamin E, fish Oil, Garlic, Ginseng) for 2 days before and after the procedure to minimise bruising.

    • Please consider your medical conditions → diabetes, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease, bleeding disorder, cancer, hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV.

    • Skin problems → eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea, keloid, atopic scar, acne.

    • Mental health disorder → body dysmorphic disorder and psychosis.

    • Pregnancy and lactation status.

    • Current medications → anti inflammatory, anti coagulation, antibiotics, immunosuppressants, retinoids.

    • Allergies to any medication and local anaesthetic agents.

Generally, having multiple chronic medical conditions does not prohibit the treatment as long as the conditions are well controlled.

  • Apply ice or cold packs to reduce swelling and bruising

    • Apply Arnica or Hirudoid cream to reduce bruising

    • Gentle massage should be performed over any bumps to spread out the skin booster product

    • In case of pain, simple analgesia such as Paracetamol can be used. Aspirin or anti-inflammatory medications should be avoided as they may exacerbate bruising (if these medications were prescribed by your doctor, please check with your treating doctor prior to cessation.)

    • Avoid heavy lifting or heavy exercise for the first 24 hours

    • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours after the treatment

    • Avoid solariums and excessive sun exposure for 24 hours after the treatment

  • Some results may be seen immediately after treatment, however the effect builds up gradually and subtly. The full effect of treatment is usually seen after 2-4 weeks.

    • Recommendation for the initial course is 3 treatments done about 4-6 weeks apart.

    • Subsequent treatments can be repeated every 6 months.

    • The skin will continue to improve after 3 months (depending on the product used) as new collagen regenerates.

    • Results last up to 4-6 months.

    • Regular treatments will help to maintain results

The expectations should be realistic and fall under the indications of skin boosters, which are: reducing fine lines, improving skin moisture, smoothness and glow.

  • Pregnancy or breast feeding

Active acne near the area being treated.

    Presence of cold sores

Covid vaccination, Antibiotic, Flu Injection, Dental Treatment & or BDD issues or concerns

Lipodissolve

  • Generally speaking, the following are contraindications for all lipodissolve solutions:

    • Patients who are hypersensitive to the drug or any of its component ingredients, particularly soy allergy (PC/DC mixtures are soy based).

    • Presence of active infection in the treatment area.

    • Not recommended in pregnancy and lactation.

    • Systemic disease ie. Kidney disease, heart disease, uncontrolled diabetes or hypothyroidism, autoimmune disease, coagulation disorder.

    • Caution should be exercised in older patients >65 years of age. Older patients may have hypersensitivity to medications and response to treatment may vary. Consider starting with lower doses.

  • Description textThe most common side-effects are experienced immediately post injection and are self-resolving. These include:

    • Pain, burning, stinging and tenderness: Pain at the injection site is the most common side effect. This usually peaks approximately 30 minutes after injection, and is accompanied by the sensation of burning and stinging. Discomfort diminishes after an hour, however will continue to persist with local tenderness for 24-48hrs. Pain may be managed with application of ice before and during the procedure. Topical analgesia (lignocaine) may be applied, followed by injection of lignocaine 2% prior to the treatment if required. Some studies have shown the addition of oral ibuprofen and loratadine to significantly reduce peak pain in submental injections (Dover, 2016). We recommend loratadine 10mg on the day of the procedure and 3 - 5 days afterwards. Ibuprofen 400mg can be taken 1 hour prior to the treatment, and three times a day for 3 days post-procedure.

    • Swelling: Swelling is to be expected. Maximum swelling occurs between 1 -3 days, and may persist for several weeks.

    • Erythema.

    • Itching

    • Bruising and haematoma: Bruising is an expected side effect from local injections, and may persist up to 2 weeks. Rarely, small haematomas at injection sites may occur, and these tend to resolve spontaneously.

    • Numbness: May last up to 6 weeks.

    • Induration: Indurations or “lumpiness” are common and transient. goes here

  • Dysphagia: Dysphagia after submental lipodissolve may be a result of oedema and inflammation, causing compression of surrounding structures.

    • Hives: Hives may occur due to soy-allergy or hypersensitivity to the preservative benzyl alcohol found in lipolysis solutions. Antihistamines may be prescribed, however cases are usually self-resolving.

    • Subcutaneous nodules: Subcutaneous nodules may be palpable approximately one week after the treatment. Though self-resolving, they may be treated with triamcinolone injections weekly.

    • Submental alopecia: The exact mechanism is unclear. This may present 3 weeks after treatment to the submental region, and should be treated with intralesional corticosteroid injections and topical minoxidil.

  • Warning: Swelling will be noticeable for 24-48 hrs.

    Cool compresses may be applied.

    • Ibuprofen 200 - 400 mg three times a day for 2 - 3 days after the procedure will reduce pain. Alternatively paracetamol may also be taken.

    • Antihistamines (ie Claratyne) may be taken for itching for 2 -3 days.

    • Compression garments may be used to minimise discomfort and swelling.

    • Regular gentle massage will help accelerate breakdown of fat cells.

  • Patients who are hypersensitive to the drug or any of its component ingredients, particularly soy allergy (PC/DC mixtures are soy based).

Covid vaccination 2 week prior / post treatment. Antibiotic, Flu Injection, Dental Treatment & or BDD issues or concerns

  • The number of treatments depends on your body’s individual response to the treatment, generally, 2-4 treatments at 6-8 week intervals are ideal. Results are not immediate but are evident after 10 weeks. If you would like multiple areas treated, we recommend treating one area at a time.

SkinPen

  • SkinPen is a microneedling medical device used for the treatment of melasma, surgical scars and acne scars through collagen induction therapy.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure involving the movement of a pen like device over the skins surface. The microneedles puncture the skin and create tiny micro injuries that are not visible to the naked eye. These tiny punctures stimulate tissue regeneration through a process called collagen induction therapy (CIT) which improves the appearance of the skin. Unlike injectable treatments, micro needling is an entirely natural process that stimulates the body’s own repair and renewal function to create collagen and elastin.

  • • No use of Accutane/Isotretinoin within the last 6 months.

  • Do not use anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen, for pain relief. These anti-inflammatory medications will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is crucial to achieving skin rejuvenation with microneedling.

Use SkinFuse Lift HG as required to hydrate the skin for the first 24 hrs post procedure.

Commence use of SkinFuse Rescue Calming Complex 24hrs post procedure.

    Important considerations after your treatment:

    • Peeling may start 3 - 5 days after treatment. Do not pick or scratch at treated skin, but instead keep the area moisturized

    • Avoid strenuous exercise or sweating for 24 hours due to healing microchannels in your skin

    • You may use cool compresses for excessive discomfort, burning, redness, or swelling.

    • Avoid prolonged, direct sun exposure for at least 10 days after your treatment. When exposed to sun light, apply a minimum of SPF 30 sunscreen, every 2 hours.

    • You may use mineral-based makeup after 24 hours; please wait 7 days before using any heavier make up varieties.

How Does Dermal Peels Treatment Work?

Dermal peels (face peels) work by removing the top layer of skin to encourage cell growth for a fresh, rejuvenated complexion.

  • A solution or mask with acidic properties is applied directly to the face.

  • The acidic properties of the solution or mask increase your skin’s natural acidity levels to around 3.3 pH – up from its usual pH of 5.5.

  • This loosens the dead skin cells causing even exfoliation.

After the treatment, your face will likely be red and sensitive and may peel and flake initially.

You may need multiple dermal peels to achieve your desired skin texture and appearance.

Dermal Peels are used to treat

Fine lines and wrinkles

Acne and scars

Pigmentation

Sun damage

Enlarged pores

Uneven skin tone

Dull, dry complexion
